Tyrik is a graduate from William H. Turner Technical Senior High School. He’s been an active member of the 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project for four years. He served as the Treasurer for his school’s chapter. While in high school Tyrik held a 4.2 GPA and was an AP scholar student.
He plans to attend Florida State University and pursue a double major in Accounting and Finance. However, while majoring in accounting Tyrik plans to attend a dual MBA/J.D program to become a financial consultant or a tax/audit lawyer.
He believes that the 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project has impacted his life by teaching him to be successful, driven and supportive as a role model. Tyrik believes because of this prestigious program he is competent, capable and confident enough to become a positive proponent to his community.
When it comes to role models Tyrik considers his mother as his role model because she has instilled values of being a proper gentleman. Also, as a single mother she has performed the duties of not only matriarch but also a supporting and stern father figure. To conclude, Tyrik mother has inspired him to push himself beyond self-perceived limits and to strive towards education.
