Darius is a graduate from William H. Turner Technical Senior. He’s been an active member of the 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project since tenth grade. He served as the Secretary for his school’s chapter. While in high school Darius was a member of the Junior NAACP, served as the junior usher board at Greater Love Missionary Baptist Church.
He is currently enrolled in the Paramedic/EMT/Fire Fighter Program. After becoming a certified firefighter/paramedic he plans to attend the University of Central Florida. In addition, he will pursue his undergraduate studies in Pre-Med or Biology at Howard University Medical School. Darius ultimate goal is to become a Emergency Trauma Surgeon.
He believes that the 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project has impacted his life tremendously by allowing him to meet different role models and network with entrepreneurs, doctors, lawyers, politicians and more. The 5000 Role Models has helped him change his mindset of thinking.
When it comes to role models Darius considers his father as his role model because he wakes up every morning at 4am to work two jobs and he never complains about it. To conclude, his father teaches him the value of hard work and gives him wisdom. Darius knows what it means to be a father and a husband.
